Atlas Skyways is committed to protecting the personal data and privacy of its users and pilots. We aim to comply with the principles of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) where applicable.

Lawful Basis for Processing

We process personal data on the following bases:

  • Consent – when users voluntarily provide data (e.g., registration).
  • Contractual necessity – to provide VA services (PIREP logging, pilot profiles).
  • Legitimate interests – maintaining safety, moderation, and platform integrity.

Data Subject Rights

Users may have the right to:

  • Access their data
  • Correct inaccurate data
  • Request deletion (“right to be forgotten”)
  • Restrict or object to processing
  • Data portability (where applicable)

Data Retention

  • Pilot accounts: retained while active
  • Inactive accounts: may be deleted after a specified period of inactivity
  • Logs/PIREP data: retained for statistics and VA history unless deletion is requested

International Transfers

If servers or services are outside the EU, users acknowledge that data may be transferred internationally with reasonable safeguards.
